What Cookie Cuttr gives you
Runs on Blesta's cron with no manual upkeep, so everything stays up to date on its own.
Configure it independently for each brand on a multi-company install, so every company runs with its own settings.
Every staff and client label ships in editable language files, ready to translate into any language or reword to match your brand.
Each staff action it adds is a separate permission you grant per staff group, so each team gets exactly the access it needs and nothing more.
Switch the banner to a short analytics-focused notice instead of a policy link, for installs where that is the more accurate statement to make.
Show the banner at the top or pin it to the bottom of the page, and optionally darken the page behind it so visitors answer before they browse on.
Set a retention period in days and older consent records are cleared out for you on a daily schedule, or set it to zero to keep your consent history forever.
Attach your own JavaScript to each of the three visitor states, so consent can gate your analytics, remarketing, or chat scripts exactly the way your site needs.
Set how many days a visitor's accept or decline is remembered before the banner asks again, so you can match your own re-consent policy instead of a hardcoded default.
The banner appears automatically on your client area and public pages, with no template edits and no code to paste anywhere, and it never shows inside the staff portal.
Point the banner at your cookie or privacy policy with a site-relative path or a full URL. Until you set one, the banner stays hidden rather than showing visitors a consent notice that links nowhere.
An advanced field takes extra banner options as plain key and value pairs and applies them after everything else, so an option not exposed as a field is still one line away without touching any code.
Write the banner message yourself and set the exact text on the accept, decline, and reset buttons, or turn any of those buttons off, so the banner reads the way your legal and marketing teams want it to.
Every accept and decline is recorded with the date, the client (or Guest for visitors who are not logged in), their IP address, and the choice they made, listed on a Cookie Consents page under the staff Tools menu and filterable by choice.
v2.0.0 - 2026-09-11
PHP 7.2 - 7.4, 8.1 - 8.4 · Blesta 5.x
Fixed every message on the settings page rendering as nothing, so a rejected save looked identical to a silent revert and nothing explained why the banner was dark
The banner, the consent beacon and your custom code now go out as three independent scripts, so a mistake in one no longer removes the cookie banner and consent recording from every page
The six banner checkboxes are now validated, so a tampered value is rejected with a message instead of a database error
Fixed the consent endpoint being able to fail with a database error when the visitor's IP address could not be determined
Reinstalling over a previous install no longer fails on the seeded settings row
The update now checks for each column before adding it, so a failed update can be retried
Added a structured settings form (checkboxes and fields per CookieCuttr option) with the raw-JavaScript textarea kept as an advanced escape hatch
Added a validated, required privacy-policy link field; the banner stays hidden until it is set
Structured options are now emitted through json_encode, removing the syntax/injection hazard for everything the form owns
Added a cookie-consent audit log: a public endpoint records accept/decline choices, a staff "Cookie Consents" page under Tools lists them, and a daily cron task prunes rows past the retention period
Fixed the consent log accepting a tampered filter that could show records belonging to another company
Fixed the Cookie Consents log table rendering flush against its box edges instead of with the normal padding
Added a staff permission gating the new consent-log page (grant it to the relevant staff groups after updating)
