Nothing Extra to Configure
The gateway has no settings of its own to fill in. Enable it, tick the currencies you want to accept, and it uses the Stripe secret key and webhook already configured on the companion plugin.
Automatic Recurring Charges
With the companion plugin in place, invoices set to auto-debit are charged to each client's stored payment method on a daily schedule, and clients are emailed ahead of an upcoming charge and again once it succeeds or fails.

Staff-initiated refunds are now supported: the refund button processes the refund through the Stripe Payment Intents Manager plugin
The Pay button now submits the payment as a form instead of following a link, so a payment can no longer be triggered by another website, or repeated by a page refresh or a browser link preview
The amount, currency and invoices handed to the manager plugin are now sealed by the gateway, so an edited payment form is rejected instead of charging a different amount
Installing, updating or paying while the Stripe Payment Intents Manager plugin is still on an older version now shows a clear message naming the version required, instead of every payment failing as an invalid request with nothing to diagnose

When Stripe reports a stored method as expired or removed, it is paused straight away and the client is emailed a reconnect invitation, rather than being retried every night until someone notices.
Key Verified on Save and Stored Encrypted
Your Stripe secret key is checked against Stripe the moment you save it, so a wrong key is caught immediately rather than on the first charge, and both it and the webhook signing secret are stored encrypted.
Fraud Screening Visibility
Every charge asks Stripe for its Radar risk assessment and records the outcome, and payments Stripe opens or closes a manual review on are noted without ever quietly reversing a charge you have already captured.
Retry Cap With Automatic Pause
Once a client's own auto-debit attempt limit is used up, automatic billing pauses and a single action-required email is sent instead of another failure notice every night. Any successful payment clears the pause automatically.
Nightly Automatic Billing
A scheduled task collects every invoice due for auto-debit, groups them by client and currency, charges the stored card and applies the payment to those invoices immediately, so paid invoices close the same night rather than waiting on a webhook.
Five Editable Client Emails
Ready-made templates warn the client about an upcoming charge and confirm a successful one, report a failed attempt, tell them billing has been paused, and ask them to reconnect a dead card. Every one is editable in Blesta's own email template editor.
Refunds and Disputes Kept in Sync
Refunds your staff issue from Blesta go straight through to Stripe with your note attached, and refunds or chargebacks raised in the Stripe dashboard come back and record against the original payment, with duplicates ignored so nothing is ever counted twice.
Clients Save a Card Through Stripe Checkout
A client clicks Connect Payment Account and enters their card on Stripe's own hosted page, so full card details never touch your server. They can store one payment account per currency, see each one listed as Active or Paused, and remove any of them whenever they want.
Choose the Outcome to Demonstrate
While demo mode is on, a Mock Charge Outcome selector decides what every charge attempt does, letting you walk through a successful payment, a decline, an expired card and a slow-settling payment, and the emails and pauses each one triggers, without a live key or a real card.
Verified Webhooks, No Duplicate Transactions
The endpoint URL to paste into Stripe is shown right on the settings page. Add your webhook signing secret and every event is signature-verified; leave it blank and events are verified instead by fetching the payment back from Stripe, so a forged payload can never record a transaction either way.
The Working Half of the Stripe Payment Intents Pair
Install it alongside the Stripe Payment Intents Gateway, which offers the payment option at checkout and holds the list of currencies you accept. This plugin does the real work behind it, storing each client's payment method, charging it, recording the payments and reconciling everything Stripe reports afterwards. The two are released together and should always be updated together.
Slow-Settling Payment Methods Supported
Direct debits, vouchers and other methods that take days to clear are recorded as a pending transaction the moment they are submitted, then promoted to approved, marked declined, or voided if abandoned, as soon as Stripe confirms the outcome, so your books never show a payment as taken before the money is actually there, and the client is told their payment is processing instead of being shown a failure.

Fixed the stored Stripe secret key being shown in plain text on the Manage page, where anyone with access to the page could read it off the screen, capture it in a screenshot or a screen share, or have a browser save it; the key and the webhook signing secret are now masked and left blank, and saving without retyping them keeps the values you already have
Added Refund & Dispute sync - refunds and chargebacks raised at Stripe now record automatically against the client, and Blesta-initiated refunds are deduped so they are never double-counted
Added staff-side refunds - the Refund button on a Stripe Payment Intents transaction now issues the refund at Stripe (full or partial), with your note attached
Added a failed-charge retry cap - after the client's Auto Debit Attempts are exhausted the stored method is paused and a final action-required email is sent, ending the nightly failure-email spam
Added invalid payment-method detection - a card that Stripe reports as deleted or permanently unusable pauses the stored method and emails the client to reconnect, instead of failing every night
Added delayed-payment visibility - slow methods (direct debits, Boleto and friends) now show a pending transaction while the payment settles, which turns approved or declined once Stripe finishes
Added payment_intent.processing handling - a payment that enters settlement is recorded as pending even when the charge response never reached Blesta, so it is never invisible while it clears
Added payment_intent.canceled handling - a settling payment abandoned or expired at Stripe now voids its pending transaction instead of sitting pending forever
Fixed direct debits being reported to the client as a failed payment, and to staff as a failure with no error message, when the charge had in fact been submitted and was settling normally - both now report the payment as processing
Added mock direct-debit outcomes (pending, and pending then canceled) plus sample processing/canceled webhook bodies, so the whole delayed-payment flow can be demoed with no Stripe account
Added Stripe Radar visibility - the risk outcome of every card charge is written to the logs, and Radar review events are recorded there too
The client and admin payment-method lists now show whether a stored method is active or paused

The client payment methods page now respects each contact's Payment Accounts permission: a contact whose account holder has not given them access to Payment Accounts can no longer view, connect or remove the account's stored payment methods. Paying an invoice with a method that is already stored is unchanged

There is a setting in the 'Stripe Payment Intents Manager' plugin to enable 'Auto Bill'. This allows a separate auto debit cron job to run once a day independently of Blesta's once a day auto debit cron job. If both run together then decide which runs first as a cron job and let the the other run soon after. Blesta's regular auto debit facility requires at least one merchant gateway to be installed also. If you leave 'Credit Card' or ACH as 'Accepted Payment Types' and turn off 'Enable Auto Debit', both in 'Invoice and Charge Options', then it only prevents clients from being able to turn on or off auto debit themselves with merchant gateway use. The regular Blesta auto debit cron job can still run. As is, auto debit messaging in Blesta is confusing. You should edit messages clients view and receive if using this gateway. For the languages files you use edit the dashboard message `$lang['ClientMain.myinfo.setting_autodebit_disabled']` and the payment method message `$lang['ClientAccounts.!notice.reenable_autodebit']`. For emails you can edit the `Invoice Delivery (Unpaid)` email template directly in Blesta For any non-merchant gateway, it is a good idea to ensure 'Automatically Apply Loose Credits' in 'Invoice and Charge Options' is on. For example, I think this is a requirement for subscriptions to work with 'PayPal Payments Standard'. Restricted Keys in Stripe work by changing Contact resource permission from 'None' to 'Read'. Currently BC Stripe Intents only supports receiving the payment_intent.succeeded event. A future version will also support receiving the payment_intent.pending event. With this change, for direct debit payments, the prominent 'Make Payment' notice in Blesta for clients will still not disappear but at least there will be an added record that a transaction is pending in both Client and Admin records. Also, invoices will still be marked as due. So, it is a good idea to ensure Stripe sends its own receipts on your behalf.
